American International Tooling is actively hiring for a Quality Assurance/Control Inspector. We have experienced unprecedented growth and require qualified applicants. We are located in Minden, NV. This is a full-time, day-shift position generally working Monday-Friday from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
General Summary
A Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for checking the incoming and outgoing products for the company by conducting tests using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples. Checks dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be proficient in the operation of various micrometers, height gauges, calipers, Keyence measuring equipment, and CMM.
- Test manufactured products to assure conformance with requirements and specifications.
- Test new parts to evaluate adaptation to company’s products.
- Perform quality tests on products and prepare specification test reports.
- Ensure a first article, in-process and final inspection is performed on each production run.
- Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
- Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
- Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team.
- Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
- Proposing improvements to the production process.
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discarding any that does not meet requirements.
- Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.

- Frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-5+ years of experience in quality assurance and/or control.
- Training in general industry safety.
