The Novelists to perform lyric rock at Dangberg Historic Park
MINDEN, Nev.—The innovative Reno band, The Novelists, will perform at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 7.
Equally comfortable playing both acoustic and electric, The Novelists showcase cliffhanger storytelling, multiple lead singers, and distinctive four-part harmonies. In addition to a headline show at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, the group has become a mainstay on the festival, college and house concert circuits, and has shared the stage with notables such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and John Prine.
The concert is sponsored by SoaringNV, Douglas County, The Record-Courier, Bently Enterprises, Carson Valley Accounting, Dr. James the Dentist, Internovations Website Design, Joe Benigno’s Tree Service, NV Energy, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Full Circle Soils & Compost, Allied Sanitation, A.B.E. Printing and Copy Center, Carson Valley Sertoma, Cowboy’s Café, and the Frances C. and William P. Smallwood Foundation. The concert is also funded in part by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Concert tickets are $5 for adults, free for 16 and younger. Tickets are available in Gardnerville at Battle Born Wine, in Minden at 88 Cups & More, and can also be purchased at dangberg.eventbrite.com. Unless sold out, tickets will also be available at the gate.
The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88, ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. Mre information is at dangberghomeranch.org.
Other concerts coming up at the park include country-western band Krista Jenkins and All Hat, No Cattle on July 17; and Milton Merlos playing Flamenco guitar on August 4.
