Saturday, October 30th
The Nevada Day Parade takes place along Carson Street in Carson City, Nevada. It begins on at the intersection of William Street and N. Carson Street, and ends at the intersection of Stewart Street and South Carson Street.
The Nevada Day parade, events and activities will take place Saturday, Oct. 30. The state holiday of Nevada Day will be observed Friday, Oct. 29.
The 2021 parade theme is “Historic Moments in Nevada”. Numerous moments throughout our state’s history help shape and define Nevada. From the day this glorious state was born on October 31, 1864 during the Civil War, to the current year 2021, specific periods in time during our 157 years of statehood tend to stand out and set Nevada apart from the other 49.
Festivities will kick off (weather dependent) at 8 a.m. on Parade Day with the launching of the hot air balloons, followed by the 10 a.m. flyover and the beginning of the parade.
The rock drilling competition should begin at 11 a.m., followed by the Chili Feed at the Carson City Nugget from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The parade should be winding down around 2:30 p.m., coinciding with the Beard Contest at the same time.
The after party begins at 4 p.m. on Curry Street.
