Katie's and CV Steak will provide two great choices for Mother's Day dinner on Sunday, May 8 at the Carson Valley Inn.
CV Steak, the Carson Valley Inn's Nevada-style steakhouse, is open for dinner on Mother's Day from 3:00 p.m. offering a selection of steaks, chops, seafood, chicken, pasta dishes and more. In addition to the regular CV Steak menu, two Mother's Day dinner specials will be offered for $28.00 each: Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and Atlantic Sea Scallops with a roasted lobster cream served gratin style and accompanied with wild rice pilaf, fresh garden vegetable and table-side tossed house salad; and Smoked Mid-Western Prime Rib of Beef, au jus, with apple horseradish sauce, choice of twice-baked potato, au gratin potatoes or baked potato and seasonal fresh vegetable. Katie's is open 24 hours and is serving two Mother's Day specials from 2 to 9 p.m.: Shrimp-and-Crab-Stuffed Fillet of Sole in a champagne cream sauce with herbed rice pilaf, seasonal vegetables and choice of soup or salad for $10.99; and Lemon Pepper Crusted Chicken Breast served over pasta with a white wine cream sauce, seasonal vegetables and choice of soup or salad for $8.99. Katie's regular Sunday dinner special will also be serve on Mother's Day: "The Chandler" Chicken Dinner including southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw for the incredibly-low price of $5.99.
