Eastside Memorial Park: Memorial Day Announcement
Eastside Memorial Park will be placing flags at the headstones of all 350 veterans laid to rest to pay our respects for Memorial Day. The community is invited to join in this ritual on Friday, May 22nd at 8:30am. We will have be practicing social distancing during this task so please bring gloves, long screw driver, and hammer to assist.
Due to the measures still in place by the Governor we will not be having a formal gathering/ service on Monday May 25th, 2020. Instead we will create a Memorial Day Remembrance table, which will be placed by the main flagpole at the park. We welcome the community to leave photos, letters, or memorabilia on the table anytime during the holiday weekend for others to stop by and pay their respects. All items will be collected on Tuesday, May 26th and stored in the pump house to be retrieved at your convenience.
