Indigo and Shibori Natural Dye Workshop at Sierra Shadows Farm

In this workshop hosted by Sierra Shadows Lavender Farm, join artist Ashley Mavon as she shares the art of indigo dying, a process she studied in Japan. All experience levels welcome and all materials are provided! No previous dye or textile background necessary. This is an introduction to Indigo – the plant, the dye and the process! You will also explore dying with marigolds from the farm- creating a yellow color. Make sure to show up wearing clothes and shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting some splashes of blue on!
