History Talk: Governor James Scrugham and the birth of Nevada’s State Parks
James Scrugham served as the 14th Governor of Nevada from 1923 to 1927, and during this time he became one of the primary forces leading the push for the creation of a Nevada State Park system. Join a park interpreter to learn about Governor Scrugham’s vision and steps that led to the first state parks in the Silver State.
