In 1851, John Reese founded the permanent Mormon Station trading post where the park is now located, but did you know there was a temporary trading post established in 1850 about one-mile north of Reese’s post? Join park staff for a history talk focused on the “1850 Mormon Station,” and two of the key figures involved in its founding and operation, Abner Blackburn and Hampton Beatie.
