Our February lecture speaker will be Kim Clawson. Kim has been a Park Ranger at Fort Churchill State Historic Park and Buckland Station since October 2011. She came from Utah State Parks where she worked as an interpretive ranger for nine years at Dead Horse Point State Park.
During the 1860s, Fort Churchill was Nevada's largest and most expensive military outpost. Kim will talk about the history of the Fort and Buckland Station, and about what the park has to offer to visitors today.
