Description
General Membership Luncheon - Open Space and Diesel Tax
Our General Membership Luncheon program for the month of September will focus on open space issues and the proposed diesel tax to pay for open space. Our panel of speakers will include local experts and policy makers on the topic – Maureen Casey, Jacques Etchegoyhen, and Mark Neddenriep. They can provide tremendous insight on the issues and engage in considered discussion. A little background on each of the speakers:
Maureen Casey is currently vice-chair of the Douglas County Planning Commission and Chair of the Douglas County Agricultural and Open Space Conservation Plan. She has served as vice-chair of the Audit Committee. She has 40 years of government experience from the volunteer level to an elected official.

Jacques Etchegoyhen, owner of Legacy Land and Water, has been working land conservation projects for over 20 years. Jacques served on the Douglas County Planning Commission and was a three-term Douglas County Commissioner. Jacques has assisted in many conservation easements in the Carson Valley.

Mark Neddenriep was raised on a ranch in the Carson Valley. Mark had a successful tax practice which he sold 4 years ago to devote 100% of his time to helping his clients in wealth management. Mark is currently a on the Douglas County Planning Commission
