You're Invited . . .
. . . to see the annual exhibit of historic clothing at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park!
Highlights of the exhibit include the christening dress first worn in 1866 by Fred Dangberg, Jr., several beaded gowns from the 1920s, and women's dresser sets from the 1890s-1930s. Returning this year is Gertrude Dangberg's 1898 wedding gown, casual and formal clothing worn by Gertrude and her four daughters from the 1900s through the 1960s, and children's clothing from the 1930s worn by Gertrude's grandson, C. Stephen Achard, Jr. Women's furs from the mid-20th century will be displayed for the first time, including several examples of definite fashion mistakes. Rounding out the exhibit are tuxedoes, suits and other clothing worn by Fred Jr. from the 1920s-1940s, and a full range of hats, shoes, jewelry and accessories.
The exhibit is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. over two weekends: Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23 and Saturday-Sunday, OCTOBER (not November) 29-30.
Reservations are NOT required. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 16 and younger. Members of the Friends of the Dangberg Home Ranch non-profit are admitted free-of-charge. The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88, about ½ mile south of the Carson Valley Swim Center.
