Douglas County Sheriff's Open House

Description

Sheriff Dan Coverley invites you to visit with the men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and other local entities on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, when the DCSO Main Station will be open to the public.
The event will give citizens an opportunity to tour the station, including a guided tour of the jail . The Sheriff’s Office will also have demonstrations and displays for you and your family to enjoy. Citizens will have an opportunity to view specialized equipment used by DCSO and see some of our other specialized groups, including:
- SWAT vehicles and gear (including Armored Personnel Carrier)
- Crisis Negotiation Team vehicle and equipment
- Emergency Communications Center Mobile Command Post
- Patrol vehicles with computer aided dispatch terminals
- Traffic motorcycles
- Patrol Boat
Many other organizations that support the Sheriff’s Office will also be present with their equipment and information, including:
- Tahoe Douglas & East Fork Fire and Paramedic Units
- CARE Flight
- Search and Rescue vehicles & equipment
- Citizen Patrol Officers
- CERT
- Sheriff’s Chaplain Unit
- Partnership of Community Resources

- We will have a Autism Recognition Alert Sign-up
The event will begin with the presentation of the colors (flag ceremony) by the
DCSO Honor Guard at 5:15 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Office in partnership with CoCoMoes Q will
be providing food for the event.
