Description
Dark Sky Conservation
Learn about Astrophotography in our National Parks and public lands of the west featuring images from Yellowstone, Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley, and more.
This program covers light pollution, it’s effects on our health and wildlife, basic astrophotography techniques, long exposure, time-lapse videos, the Milky Way, lunar rainbows aka moonbows, meteor showers, and light painting. Followed by some bonus images and videos from the August 2017 Solar Eclipse, the January 2018 “Super Moon” Lunar Eclipse, and the July 2nd 2019 Total Solar Eclipse from Chile.
The images captured span a journey of over ten years in the remote backcountry of the Sierra Nevada and other parks. Whether you want to learn more about night photography or simply just enjoy night images this program is sure to inspire you to take the time to look up and reconnect with our night skies.
