Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 16 and younger. The Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park will present an old-fashioned melodrama production on the park’s east lawn on July 13-14, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit Friends of Dangberg Home Ranch. “Tall in the Saddle” continues the story of Rusty Hinges, s ranch owner who is now working at the Genoa Pony Express Station. Rusty is joined by Pony Mike and his trusty steed, Billy Bob, along with other colorful characters. Help boo the villain, and then cheer the hero as he rides in to “save the day!”
Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 16 and younger. Gates open at 4:00, with the performance at 5:00. Wine and beer will be available for sale by the Friends of Dangberg, and the Carson Valley Lions Club will be selling burgers and soft drinks. Alternately, ticketholders can bring their own picnic, and must bring lawn chairs or blankets as seating is not provided. Visitors can also buy tickets for a “your choice” prize raffle and shop in the museum store. Dogs are not permitted, with the exception of certified service animals.
