Carson Valley Inn presents: Live Comedy

 Live Comedy returns to the Carson Valley Inn on Saturday, July 30, 2011 with headliner Dennis Blair, feature performer Lang Parker and host/MC Kenny Bob Davis. The show is in the up-close setting of the Valley Ballroom with doors opening at 7:45 p.m. and the show starting at 8:30 p.m. Show tickets are $12.50; there are also date night packages for two with comedy show tickets, dinner in Katie's or CV Steak and free play for the casino. Dennis Blair is an accomplished screenwriter, award-winning songwriter and comedic actor best known for the caustic observations and musical satires of his live comedy performances. Dennis has toured with and written for Rodney Dangerfield and has been the opening act for a multitude of celebrities such as Tom Jones, The Beach Boys, Natalie Cole, Garry Shandling, Joan Rivers, George Wallace, Gloria Estefan, Joy Behar, Jackie Mason, and the late, great George Carlin. Dennis has appeared on "The Tonight Show" and HBO and has won a number of awards including a Charlie Award for "Best Comedian in New York."
 
Lang Parker came to national attention on the Emmy-nominated NBC show "Last Comic Standing." Judge Buddy Hackett said flat out, "You are a star!" Her television credits include: "Beverly Hills 90210," a pilot for the Lifetime Network called "Women's Work," and over two dozen national commercials. She was also the winner of the California Funniest Female Contest in 2008.
 
Kenny Bob Davis has opened many concerts and main-room shows for stars such as the late George Burns, Willie Nelson, Ramsey Lewis, Kenny Rogers, Roy Clark, Vince Gill, and Larry Gatlin. An avid golfer, Kenny Bob has performed at or played in over 300 Charity and PGA/LPGA Tour events. He has also appeared on television in National commercials and in film and TV productions such as Gremlins, ER, Zach and Cody, Sisters, Murder She Wrote and more.
 
Date Night Comedy Packages are available for July 30 and they include Dinner for 2 at Katie's or CV Steak (one appetizer, two entrees, two desserts and two non alcoholic beverages), two tickets for the comedy show and $10 in free play. The packages prices are $49 for two in Katie's (excludes New York Steak) and $89 for two in CV Steak (excludes Steak and Lobster).
