Art Gallery @ Prism - Silk Painting Workshop with Louise Noel

TIME & LOCATION
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join Louise in the Art Gallery Workshop. Students will paint a scarf using resist outlines, vibrant color, and play with surface treatments using salts and alcohol to create texture and movement. Steam setting will be provided for your finished scarf.
Patterns are provided for the students to use during the workshop. Louise will provide self-addressed envelopes for students to send their finished scarves to her for the steaming process, as well as information on how to steam it themselves.
Materials provided:
- Jacquard dyes
- DuPont black resist
- Applicator bottle and tip
- Silk Painting workbook
- Silk painting frame
- Brushes
- Silk scarves
- Steam setting of your finished work (provided after workshop session)
Materials to be provided by participants:
- Smock or apron
- Salt shaker
- Sack lunch

Fees/Admission
Class Fee: $160 Returning students who bring their own materials: $95. If returning students need additional materials, Louise will have resist, dyes and scarves available for purchase.
