Walk in Memory, Walk for Hope / Andy's Ride
The Walk in Memory/Walk for Hope will have lots of changes this year. It is the 10th anniversary for the walk which will happen on Saturday, September 10, 2016. The event will take place at Heritage Park in Gardnerville, from 8 am to 3 pm.
We are adding a bicycle ride, "Andy's Ride," in memory of Andy Getes. You don't have to know Andy to be in this ride. You can ride in memory of anyone if you would rather ride your bicycle than walk.
Before the walk / ride begins, please join us for a continental breakfast. After completing the course, walkers and riders will return for a barbecue. The BBQ will include a "touch-a-truck" event, where children can sit in and explore a variety of emergency vehicles.
