SUMMARY:Winter Birding and Raptor Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join naturalist and birder\, Jim Woods\, on a hunt for migrating birds heading from Hope Valley to lower elevations of beautiful Alpine County.  If the weather is right\, participants will feast on lots of Raptor sightings\, but it will be a famine if the weather has moved the birds along.  In that case\, a short drive into Carson Valley (8-10 miles) may help participants find Barn Owls and other birds stopping over and feeding in the local wetlands and open fields.  Be prepared to drive/carpool.
