DESCRIPTION:safeTALK is a 3.5-hour\, evidence-based training in suicide alertness skills. Through presentations\, audiovisuals\, and skills practice\, participants will learn four basic steps to help prevent suicide. This training is for those who want to learn how to respond compassionately to someone experiencing thoughts of suicide\, strategies to support them\, and ways to connect them with community resources. This class is open to anyone age 15 and above. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
