SUMMARY:Registration for the 2025 Kids' Fishing Derby Begins April 1st
DESCRIPTION:Registration for the 2025 Douglas County Kids' Fishing Derby will begin on Tuesday April 1st and ontinue until Friday\, June 6th at 4:00PM. This year's Derby will take place on Saturday\, June 7th and Sunday\, June 8th\, 2025 at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. This volunteer run event is FREE to all children ages 3-12 years old. Child anglers will be given the opportunity to catch up to 2 rainbow trout during one of the event's 7 hour and a half long sessions\, and will be provided everything they need to have a fun and rewarding fishing experience. Each child will also be given a special gate prize. Although it is FREE to fish the Derby\, PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED to receive your child(ren)s session ticket. You can register for the Derby by visiting AJ's Stoves in Gardnerville during the week or every Saturday in April and May from 10AM to 2PM.
