DESCRIPTION:At our June luncheon\, we are honored to welcome Justice James W. Hardesty of the Nevada Supreme Court\, who will speak on the ballot initiative that seeks to create an Appellate Court\, a level of Appeals Court between the District Courts and the Nevada Supreme Court.\n\nSupporters of this measure\, who include Justice Hardesty\, propose that this intermediate court would allow for expedited decisions on appealed issues\, increase the efficiency of the Nevada legal system and free up the Nevada Supreme Court to investigate important cases more carefully.\n\n\n\nJustice Hardesty will explain the current case load faced by the Supreme Court and how the business community will benefit from the new structure\, should the initiative pass.\n\n\n\nJune's event will take us back to the Banquet Pavilion (formerly known as Antocci's) at the Lakes Course for the first time since the new owners  took the reins several months ago.\n\n\n\nOur Business of the Month is Jamba Juice\, which means that the raffle prizes will taste good and be healthy for you!
