DESCRIPTION:Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce\n\nGeneral Membership Luncheon\n\n\n\nYou're Supporting What?\n\n\n\nThe County Connectivity group of the Economic Vitality Program has proposed three revenue enhancements for the County for transportation related issues. A sales tax increase\, a gas tax increase and a utility operator fee. The Chamber Board has taken a position in support of these three efforts\, due to a combination of what their financial impacts would be on businesses and individuals\, how the funds raised could be leveraged and what the dollars would be used for. The items will be coming before the Douglas County Commission again in the next few months\, and we feel it important to have the discussion again to update the membership.\n\n\n\nAt the luncheon we will go over the main points of those three areas and do our best to answer questions you may have\, particularly about how the monies would be used\, and what the Return on Investment could be. Please join in the conversation.\n\nWe are at Jethro's and Dustin and his team always provide a great meal...Our Businesses of the Month are the Carson Valley Arts Council and the Minden Tahoe Airport. And just to make sure no one gets bored\, we'll introduce our 2015-2016\n\nBoard of Directors.
