SUMMARY:General Membership Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:General Membership Luncheon\n\nProvides an update on the Legislative Session\n\nWe are happy to welcome Tray Abney of the political consulting firm Abney Tauchen to the luncheon to fill us in on the activities to date of the Nevada Legislature. Prior to partnering with Lea Tauchen to form Abney Tauchen\, Tray served as the Director of Government Relations for The Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce for over ten years.\n\n\n\nTray has experienced six Nevada State Legislative Sessions (so far) and has been a key voice on business and taxation/government spending and efficiency issues in Carson City. He has successfully helped steer critical bills to signature (and veto) and maintains great relationships with elected officials from throughout Nevada and on both sides of the political aisle.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Chamber\, Tray served as Legislative Director for Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons and spent four years working for Gibbons\, including as a senior staff member in his Washington\, DC congressional office. During the 2007 Nevada Legislative Session\, Tray was responsible for ensuring that the Governor's agenda was approved by the Legislature and served as the Governor's lobbyist in the legislative building. \n\nThis is a rare opportunity for attendees to get the value of Tray's experience and insight on Legislative issues and how they may impact the business community. \n\n\n\nOur Business of the Month is the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park\, so I'm guessing there will concert tickets and more offered in our raffle and remember\, there's a separate free raffle for everyone that signs up and pays online! \n\n\n\nAND...we're at Jethro's\, one of our favorite luncheon stops because Dustin and the team always provide a great spread...
