DESCRIPTION:Our General Membership Luncheon on June 15th thinks about winter. Not necessarily the weather\, but the Winter Olympics. Jon Killoran\, the CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition will be our speaker. He handles the day-to-day operations for this non-profit organization\, with the mission to bring a future Olympic Winter Games back to Reno/Tahoe.  Jon has served in this position since February 2009\, working with public and private sector leaders from Nevada and California to position our region as a premiere sports destination and bid favorite to host the Games.  Before joining the Olympic effort\, Jon spent 21-years in Reno's television news industry. \n\n \n\nThe effort to bring the Winter Games to our area has been going on for years and Jon will update us on where the efforts currently stand. Hosting major sporting events\, including the Olympic Winter Games\, can have enormous economic\, environmental and social effects on a region.  Learn how local organizers are exploring this opportunity. \n\n \n\nThe Luncheon will be held at the Lakes Course (Antoci's) at Genoa Lakes Golf Club & Resort.
