DESCRIPTION:Douglas County Sheriff's Office Open House\n\n	Sheriff Ron Pierini invites you to visit with the men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.  DCSO Main Station will be open to the public.\n\n	\n\n	 \n\n	The event will give citizens an opportunity to tour the station\, including a guided tour of the jail.  The Sheriff's Office will also have numersous demonstrations and displays for you and your family to enjoy.  Citizens will have an opportunity to view specialized equipment used by DCSO\, Including:\n\n	\n		SWAT Vehicles and gear (including Armored Personnel Carrier)\n	\n		Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad equipment and displays\n	\n		Crisis negotiation Team vehicle and equipment\n	\n		Emergency Communications Center Mobile Command Post\n	\n		GREAT/DARE literature and information\n	\n		Patrol vehicles with computer aided dispatch terminals\n	\n		Traffic unit equipment and motorcycles\n	\n		Patrol Boat\n	\n		Bicycle Patrol Unit\n	\n		K9 demonstrations\n	\n		Use of Force demonstrations (including Taser and FN Herstal 303 launcher)\n\n\n	\n\n	Many volunteer organizations that support the Sheriff's Office will also be present with their equipment and information\, including:\n\n	\n		Search and Rescue vehicles\, equipment and a rappelling demonstration\n	\n		Mounted Posse members and an equestrian demonstration\n	\n		Citizen Patrol Officers conducting Child ID/Fingerprinting\n	\n		Reserve Deputies\n	\n		Sheriff's Chaplain Unit\n	\n		Explorer Cadets\n	\n		Senior Citizen/TRIAD program\n	\n		Sheriff's Advisory Council\n	\n		Partnership of Community Resources information and literature\n\n\n	The event will begin with the presentation of the colors (flag ceremony) by the DCSO Honor Guard at 5:15 pm\n\n	\n\n	Hot dogs\, chips and refreshments will be provided.
