DESCRIPTION:The Carson Valley Trails Association is excited to host its first-ever 5K to be held on a CVTA-built trail! The big event will take place at James Lee Park on Saturday\, Oct 19\, 2024\, and will include: 5K trail run within CVTA's James Lee Loops (8:30am start time). 2k free family fun run\; off-road strollers and dogs (on leash) are welcome (9:30am start time). Race registration includes t-shirt for adults and children 12 and over. Children under 12 races for free and can receive finisher medals! This is a great non-competitive opportunity for beginners to get out and experience a 5k trail run. There are no prizes\, and the race will be timed by hand (not chip timed). $35 registration for 5K includes a t-shirt\, plus 1-year membership to CVTA.
