DESCRIPTION:Nostalgic big-band sounds will fill the Valley Ballroom at the Carson Valley Inn on Sunday\, April 17 with special Big Band Memories shows at 3 and 6 p.m.  The 7-piece orchestra   plus a female singer   is headed by Charles DiLaura.  Like others in his group\, Charles has a storied history of playing with many of the big names in show business including Cameron McRae\, Pearl Bailey\, Sammy Davis\, Jr.\, Tony Bennett\, Jimmy Durante\, Red Skelton and more. \n\n	 \n\n	The seven seasoned musicians have over 250 years of experience and all have played extensively with the headline entertainers from the big-band era.  They'll be playing swing music and old standards from the likes of Glenn Miller\, Harry James\, Tommy Dorsey and other popular orchestras of the past   perfect for listening\, dancing (yes\, the dance floor will be out) and reminiscing. \n\n	 \n\n	Tickets for the April 17 Big Band Memories showsare just $15 and are available at the Carson Valley Inn Hotel Desk or call 775-783-6606 to order by phone.
