Author Kat Simmons to Speak on Kat&rsquo\;s Daily Cups

\n\nKat&rsquo\;s Daily Cups in a free presentation at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Sunday\, August 28\, at 10:00 am.
\n\nKat'\;s Daily Cups
\n\nis a collection of short stories about raising children\, the love of animals\, life'\;s challenges\, gratitude\, inspiration and awakenings.
\n\n\;
\n\nKat Simmons says some stories will make the reader laugh and some may make them cry. Simmons hopes her book will become a personal book to the reader\, in an interactive journey and will answer the question. "\;What is in your Daily Cup today?"\;.

\n\nKat Simmons is a 30 year veteran of the international comedy club circuit appearing at The Improvs\, and on Catch A Rising Star\, the Comedy Channel\, Fox&rsquo\;s Comedy Tonight and Candid Camera. Simmons has appeared with Tim Allen\, Kevin Nealon\, Kenny Rogers\, and most recently with motivational speaker Zig Ziglar.
\n\n\;
\n\nKat Simmons has a unique talent for combining physical comedy with real life situations\, and has been favorably compared to Lucille Ball\, Carol Burnett and Red Skelton. Simmons is also the 2009 winner of the eWomen Network'\;s International Talent Contest in Dallas.
\n\n\;
\n\nKat Simmons returned to Carson Valley in 1992 to have her children Jonathan and Emma. Simmons produced her own comedy show at the Carson Valley Inn Casino in Minden for 13 years and now also teaches comedy workshops. Simmons says she loved writing long before she began performing and that Kat&rsquo\;s Daily Cups has been a labor of love\, with her daughter Emma serving as illustrator.
\n\nThe park is located at 1450 Hwy 88m ¼\; mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event\, and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. For more information\, visit \;
