ALL ARE WELCOME\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe coffin races are similar to Virginia City's Outhouse Races and is an event in which teams of four runners push a homemade coffin down the street with a rider inside the coffin. The course is approximately 250 feet. The Race Coffin with the 4 fastest times in each class from qualifying heats will run in 2 final heats to determine the first\, second\, third and fourth place winners. Those four will then compete in the final heats.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nBusinesses\, organizations\, service clubs\, friends and family are encouraged to form teams and create their own special coffin and to CHALLENGE others to race in the event.\n\n\n \n\n\nAll race coffins must include the Main Street Gardnerville Logo with race number which will be provided at the event and must be placed on a visible area of the coffin.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nRegistration per coffin is $40 for a team of 4 with 2 alternates through October 1 and $50 after October 1.
