DESCRIPTION:Cowboy poetry\, lively music\, tales of the trail\, stretch-the-truth yarns and good old-fashioned cowboy fun are all part of the 24thAnnual Rhymers Rodeerin the Carson Valley Inn's Valley Ballroom on Friday and Saturday\, November 4 and 5\, 2011.  This year's artists include Dave Bourne\, the piano player from the Gem Saloon on HBO's hit series "Deadwood\," plus cowboy poets Doris Daley\, Ken Cook and Bob Christensen.  The emcee is the always-clever and sometimes-irreverent western humorist McAvoy Layne as Mark Twain.\n\n \n\nThe Rhymers Rodeer weekend includes a cocktail show on Friday\, an open mic session for "all comers" Saturday morning and a dinner show on Saturday night. The Friday evening show is $30 with no-host cocktails at 7:00 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m.  Saturday evening's dinner show is $55 with no-host cocktails at 6:00 p.m.\, dinner at 6:30 p.m. and show time at 7:30 p.m.  An open mic session will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.\n\n \n\nRhymers Rodeer information is available at www.carsonvalleyinn.comincluding an easy-to-use form for ordering tickets and making hotel reservations at special Rhymers Rodeer rates.
