You have to admit\, the new name saves time.\n\n \nThe individuals and organizations to be recognized at this year's Community Recognition Awards Gala on November 3rd have been selected.\n\nChosen from the nominations submitted by the public\, this year's group is:\n\nBusiness of the Year           Valley Eyecare & Eyewear Gallery\n\nEmployee of the Year         Deputy Teresa Duffy of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office \n\nService Club of the Year    Carson Valley Lions Club \n\nNon-Profit Organization of the Year       CASA of Douglas County\n\nVolunteer of the Year         Gary Dove of Kiwanis\, Aktion Club and Project Santa Claus\n\n Citizen of the Year              Nadia Sandoval\, Eastside Memorial Park\n\nAll will be honored at the CRA Gala at the Carson Valley Inn on November 3rd\, along with the special recognition of retiring Justice of the Peace Tom Perkins and retiring Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini. Tickets for the event\, which is co-sponsored by the Chamber and The Record-Courier\,  are $75 and can be purchased at the Chamber office\, by calling the Chamber at 782-8144\, or by clicking here. The evening includes dinner\, entertainment\, a silent auction and the awards.
