CV Steak is open for dinner on Easter Sunday from 4:30 pm offering two Easter dinner specials: 

The Duet of Filet Mignon and King Crab includes a 6 oz. Filet Mignon with Green Peppercorn Sauce and Half Pound of King Crab Claws with legs, drawn butter and lemon for $36. 

The Grilled Salmon Oscar includes crab meat, asparagus, béarnaise sauce and port wine glaze for $29
As with all CV Steak entree's the Easter Specials include CV Steak signature table side tossed salad, sourdough baguette, creamery butter, choice of house stuffed, baked or au gratin potatoes.  The Sunset Menu is not available on Easter Sunday.

In addition, Katie's is open 24 hours and the regular menu will be served on Easter Sunday. In addition, Katie's is also serving two holiday specials:

Baked Ham with orange glaze and rice pilaf and for $12.99
Raost Leg of Lamb with minted pan gravy and mashed potatoes for $14.99.
Both Katie's Easter specials include vegetable of the day and choice of soup or salad.

In addition to being the director of the #1 rated Martial Arts Demo Team in the world, Master Reyes has appeared in films including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Last Dragon, Sidekicks, Red Sonja, Surf Ninja's, Last Electric Knight, Circus of the Stars, Highway to Heaven, Star Tours, Secret Bodyguard, The Rundown and Red Canvas. He is here to help local Karate Master George Fujii celebrate the reopening of West Coast Martial Arts in their new location in the Park Place center at 1328 Hwy 395, unit 202 in Gardnerville across from Lampe Park and behind KFC and AM/PM gas station.

It all takes place on Tuesday, April 7th, with an Open House beginning at 2, a free fun Kid’s Class at 4, the ribbon cutting at 4:30 which will be followed by a free autograph and picture signing session with Master Reyes. The kids are out of school so it’s a perfect event for your Tuesday!

Held in the spring, this annual event showcases Chamber member businesses to residents and business people from the region. Over 1,000 people attend each year to see local businesses and sample tastings from more than 10 restaurants and caterers, check out show specials, collect samples, win prizes in the free raffle and catch up with friends and neighbors.
 
Produced by the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Business Showcase will feature more than 80 area businesses displaying products and services, providing giveaways and information about their business.
 
The event features free parking, free admission, raffle prizes from each merchant, free food from participating local restaurants and caterers and a chance to learn more about the business community of the Carson Valley.

Apr 18    Children's Education Program at Heritage Park Gardens
Getting growing in the new children's garden. This growing season Heritage Park Gardens will be offering garden workshops aimed at teaching children how to grow vegetables and fruit at no cost to participating students. Classes will be held on the 3rd Saturday of every month April through September, with the exception of August when we will be meeting at Jacobs Family Berry Farm in Gardnerville. Kindergaren to 2nd grade classes will be 10am-11:30am; 3rd to 5th grade classes will be noon to 1:30pm. Bingo Night on the 2nd and 4th Friday of Each Month.  Doors open at 6pm with a warm up game starting at 7pm.  The event is open to the public and cash prizes will be awarded.  Because of the cash awards, no one under the age of 21 can be admitted as required by the Nevada Gaming control Board.  The $21 Minimum package includes a 3-card warm-up, a 10-card play package, and a blackout/progressive card.  Additional cards may be purchased.  A progressive jackpot is available each night.  Complementary coffee and popcorn is available.  Nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, wine, bottled water, and soft drinks can be purchased. 

Each year the council selects up to 5 Bingo's to raise money for Carson Valley community service organizations.
