Bingo Night on the 2nd and 4th Friday of Each Month. Doors open at 6pm with a warm up game starting at 7pm. The event is open to the public and cash prizes will be awarded. Because of the cash awards, no one under the age of 21 can be admitted as required by the Nevada Gaming control Board. The $21 Minimum package includes a 3-card warm-up, a 10-card play package, and a blackout/progressive card. Additional cards may be purchased. A progressive jackpot is available each night. Complementary coffee and popcorn is available. Nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, wine, bottled water, and soft drinks can be purchased.

It?s almost time again to empty your piggy bank! The Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley will be hosting its annual Turkey Bingo on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the C.V.I.C. Hall in Minden. There will be three sessions, the first at 12 noon, the second at 3 pm, the third at 6 pm.
Bingo cards are 25 cents each per game and there is no limit to the number of cards an individual may play. Games will last until all turkeys are given away and an exciting grand prize is awarded for each session. Tickets will be for sale at all sessions for raffle prizes. Free popcorn and coffee will be available; hot dogs, ice cream, chips, water and soft drinks may be purchased. During each sessions intermission children 6 and under will receive a gift while supplies last.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley provide the turkeys and the grand prizes. Raffle prizes are donated by community businesses. Proceeds from the event will be used to support organizations that focus on the children in Carson Valley. Bingo Night on the 2nd and 4th Friday of Each Month. Doors open at 6pm with a warm up game starting at 7pm. The event is open to the public and cash prizes will be awarded. Because of the cash awards, no one under the age of 21 can be admitted as required by the Nevada Gaming control Board. The $21 Minimum package includes a 3-card warm-up, a 10-card play package, and a blackout/progressive card. Additional cards may be purchased. A progressive jackpot is available each night. Complementary coffee and popcorn is available. Nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, wine, bottled water, and soft drinks can be purchased.
Each year the council selects up to 5 Bingo's to raise money for Carson Valley community service organizations.

The Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Gardnerville are working together, once again, to make it fun and rewarding for consumers to shop our local retailers on Saturday, November 29th. Our third partner in this effort is American Express, who is the national promoter of the event.
The CV Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Gardnerville are enlisting our member businesses to be part of the day’s events. Each of those members will have special offers that day and 25 of those businesses will also have a $25 American Express Gift Card to give away to a lucky customer that day. A list of the participating stores will be available on the Chamber and Main Street web sites starting November 10th and the stores will be displaying the ‘Shop Small’ logo in their windows.
In addition, we’ve created a Holiday Treasure Tree form that will be available at participating businesses on November 29th. This form will have the names and addresses of all the participating businesses on it. “Shoppers” who collect at least ten stars from local participating businesses and bring those forms to the Chamber office by 3:45 pm that day, will be given one entry into a drawing for the ‘Holiday Treasure’. Depending on the number of participating businesses, if “shoppers” collect 20 stars, they will get two entries, 30 stars will get three entries, etc. We will draw a winner at 4:00 pm that day. If shoppers visit each business, they will also be entered into a second drawing for a special gift basket filled with goodies from the Chocolate Shoppe.
What’s the ‘Holiday Treasure’? That’s a gift basket made up of one gift donation of at least $20 in value from each of the participating businesses. That basket will be worth hundreds of dollars and will go a long way towards making your holiday stockings much fuller.
The real goal, of course, is to encourage shoppers to seek out the specialized service and product knowledge that you get from small businesses and to keep holiday shopping dollars in Carson Valley, where they can circulate and have the greatest impact. Make your plans now to Shop Small on Small Business Saturday!
