Milton Merlos to perform flamenco guitar at Dangberg Historic Park
MINDEN, Nev.— Milton Merlos will perform a concert of Flamenco guitar at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Thursday, August 4, from 6:30-8:00 pm.
Merlos, who plays in the Spanish Flamenco style, is a native of Boston. He started playing the guitar at age twelve, and began playing professionally at sixteen. Travels to Spain instilled a love for the Spanish Flamenco style of playing. Now a professional musician with sixteen years of experience, he lives part-time in western Nevada.
“A quiet passion became the flame that has gifted me so many warm memories and has now become the passion that fires my life,” Merlos said. More information about Merlos, and samples of his music, is at miltonmerlos.com.

The concert is also funded in part by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Concert tickets are $5 for adults, free for 16 and younger. Tickets are available in Gardnerville at Battle Born Wine, in Minden at 88 Cups & More, and can also be purchased at dangberg.eventbrite.com. Unless sold out, tickets will also be available at the gate.
The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88, ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. Mre information is at dangberghomeranch.org.
The final concerts remaining this year at the park will be Hick’ry Switch performing bluegrass and folk music on August 14, and Ten Dollar Pony performing folk, country and blues on August 28.
